Kerwin Bill to Honor Veterans Passes House

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Joe Kerwin (R-Dauphin) introduced House Bill 73 earlier this year to create specialty license plates for veterans of Operation Inherent Resolve. 

“Operation Inherent Resolve was the American military campaign that defeated the terrorist group ISIS in Iraq, Syria and Libya” stated Kerwin. “This legislation will allow veterans of this operation to proudly display their service on their vehicles’ license plates in Pennsylvania. We owe a lot to these brave combat veterans who took the fight to and defeated the evil ISIS threat, and this is just a small way to acknowledge their service.”

On Tuesday, Oct. 31, House Bill 73 unanimously passed the House. It now heads to the Senate for concurrence.
