HARRISBURG – A $1 million grant awarded today will help West Hanover Township’s government leaders centralize services, including the public works department, water and sewer authority, and buildings and code enforcement department, according to Rep. Joe Kerwin (R-Dauphin).
Kerwin announced the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant for the township supervisors to use as they build a new municipal complex.
“Bringing these services under one roof will allow the township supervisors to reduce their maintenance costs and eliminate duplication of services,” Kerwin said. “It is always important to ensure government works for the people, so a central location will benefit those who live and work in West Hanover Township.”
RACP grants support the design, acquisition and construction of regional, economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects. They are administered by the Office of the Budget.
